SHIPPING: Reno Hi Fi has a quarter century of shipping experience and we will see to it that your gear is shipped professionally and safely. We ship by UPS, insured, tracked, and adult signature required at delivery. When your order is complete, we will ship very promptly and provide you with the tracking information through a “UPS Quantum View” email to help with peace of mind. We don’t cut corners on shipping, insurance and packing and that’s why we have very few problems providing excellent shipping results to our clients. Shipping damage or loss is virtually non-existent. Even with the huge volume of shipments we make, Reno Hi-Fi submits an insurance claim less than once every two years, about one claim per 1800 shipments (not a typo).
Reno Hi-Fi’s huge inventory makes shipping FAST. When you order from our massive inventory, most of which is listed on this website and updated constantly, we usually ship your order on the next business day so you can have and enjoy your new audio product as quickly as possible.
SALES TERRITORIES: Reno Hi-Fi can help the vast majority of people in the USA with almost all of our offerings. Reno Hi-Fi's territory is the USA only, with the following further restrictions. Reno Hi-Fi, Inc. does not sell NEW Pass Labs components to areas within 100 miles of another Authorized Pass Labs Dealer, with rare exceptions. We are required by law to collect sales tax on all Arizona transactions. We are not required to collect sales tax on transactions which are completely outside of Arizona. We will not sell any product so that it may be reshipped to outside our USA territory.
FORMS OF PAYMENT: We accept virtually every form of payment except Collection On Delivery (and no one ever asks for C.O.D.) and Crypto Currencies. All major credit cards (and some minor ones), and debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo are welcomed. PayPal is welcomed and without an extra fee from Reno Hi-Fi. Bank Wire Transfers are accepted, and we will provide the bank information for a wire transfer after we conclude an agreement for purchase of a product. Cashier’s checks and money orders are welcome, and if they are written on a U.S. bank, there is usually no waiting period for these to clear. Personal checks are accepted, but it can take up to 10 days to clear before we will ship product paid by personal check. Multiple forms of payment are welcome on a single order and must all be completed the same business day the order is placed.
DEPOSIT AND HOLD POLICY: In an effort to offer as much product for sale as possible to the greatest number of people, and to be as fair to everyone as possible, Reno Hi Fi does not accept deposits (nor partial payments) and does not hold any products for future delivery—paid for or not. When a product is ordered and paid, we will ship the product on the next business day. If a customer cannot receive the product or make arrangements for another person to accept the product on his behalf at the time of normal delivery, we will not accept (or we will cancel) the order and the product remains for sale to others. We’ll be glad to accept the order at a future time when the customer can accept normal delivery. Should the product not be available at that future time, then we’ll be glad to assist the customer by placing his name on our no-obligation waiting list.
WAITLIST POLICY: More good news! Reno Hi Fi maintains no-obligation waiting lists for specific products at no cost to you. We believe that we should not accept customers’ money until we have the product ready to ship. If there’s a specific PASS or First Watt product you desire and we do not currently have it in stock, please email or phone and we’ll be glad to add your name to the waiting list. Then, when the product is ready, we’ll contact you and if you’re still in the market, we can make it yours to enjoy. We keep the names on the waitlist, in priority order, just as if deposits or full payments had been made—so there’s no worry. When we contact you to let you know that the item you requested is now available, we will allow at least one full business day for your response (e.g., we call on Monday, we will wait all day Tuesday, and if we don’t hear back then the item will be offered to the next person on Wednesday morning.) We do appreciate hearing back promptly even if you’ve changed your mind for any reason or no reason at all. Your consideration of a prompt response helps us and your fellow audiophiles. If things have changed and the time isn’t right when we contact you, we’re still friends and we’ll be more than happy to help you with your next upgrade when the time is right for you. Waitlist requests expire after one year and may be renewed by contacting us again.
