Reno Hi-Fi does business the simple,
“old-fashioned” way. We have been helping audiophiles build
their dream systems since 1998, and we have worked very hard to
maintain a spotless track record.
Despite the
advent of new technology that allows us to connect to our
clients in real time and through a variety of devices, we still
feel like we’re doing business face-to-face and strive to always
do our utmost to earn your business and see all transactions to
a happy conclusion. We want you to come back when you have an
audio need and to trust that we will take care of you, honestly
and diligently. We do what we say we will do, and operate in an
environment of mutual trust. While we offer audio equipment, our
business is really about people, and we never forget it. Our
reason for existing is to serve our clients and potential future
clients.
Of course, the
world being what it is, our skilled legal henchpersons,
desperate to earn their keep, have requested that you be advised
of the following items:
Terms
and Conditions of Use
The Reno Hi-Fi website, at www.RenoHiFi.com (the "Site"), is a
copyrighted work belonging to Mark J. Sammut, dba Reno Hi Fi,
P.O. Box 20728, Reno, Nevada, 89515.
Reno Hi-Fi
grants you the right to use the Site subject to the terms and
conditions of use ("Terms of Use") set forth below.
PLEASE READ
THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY. BY ACCESSING THE SITE, OTHER THAN
TO READ THESE TERMS OF USE FOR THE FIRST TIME, YOU AGREE TO BE
BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO
BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, YOU MAY NOT ACCESS OR
USE THIS SITE.
First: Invitation to Do Business -- The contents
of this website constitute an invitation/offer to do business.
Sometimes an item displayed will be in limited supply or may
have become unavailable, therefore we cannot be deemed to have
made a contract with everyone who has seen it on the website at
the price displayed. Further, we are not responsible for “typos”
within the website. To that end, nothing herein shall constitute
an actual contract to do business. The only contract to do
business will be one presented to you for agreement, in writing,
via e-mail, fax or U.S. Mail, after discussion and negotiation.
Second:
Privacy -- Reno Hi-Fi hates receiving junk mail, “Do Not
Be Alarmed, There is Nothing Wrong With Your Account” robo-calls
at dinnertime, and virtual pounds of garbage in our “Junk”
e-mail everyday. Reno Hi-Fi has to assume that you, as well,
despise being the recipient to all of the above and hate having
your listening time interfered with. To that end, we do not
share or sell your confidential information with any marketing
firms or outside companies. Even if tied down and presented with
items of torture, our virtual lips are sealed.
Third:
Outbound Marketing -- Reno Hi-Fi does not participate in
mass paper mailings, or mass e-mail blasts. We occasionally make
an outbound telephone call or e-mail a customer in response to
the client’s prior inquiry. To date, we have had no complaints
on our manner of contacting clients and plan to keep it that
way.
Fourth:
Venue and Jurisdiction -- Reno Hi-Fi rarely experiences
an unhappy client, but, should such an anomaly occur, any
Agreement for sale or trade-in shall be governed by, and
construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Nevada.
Also, should any dispute arise, all parties will have
agreed to the jurisdiction and venue of the State of Nevada.
Fifth:
Trade-in Policy -- Reno Hi-Fi prides itself on a fair and
generous trade-in policy. We want our transactions that have a
trade-in to be successful for both parties. In a perfect world,
your description of an item to be traded-in would perfectly
harmonize with the actual item shipped to us. Very rarely, there
is “disharmony” (i.e. material misrepresentation). In such
events of “disharmony”, Reno Hi-Fi reserves the right, when
there is a material misrepresentation of a trade-in item’s
condition, to: reverse the entire transaction; return the
trade-in item(s) to the customer; demand that the newer item(s)
be immediately returned to Reno Hi-Fi in the condition which
they were in when they were originally shipped from Reno Hi-Fi;
and collect all shipping, and other costs to make Reno Hi-Fi
whole from the customer.
Sixth:
Collections -- As we believe in operating in an
atmosphere of mutual trust, we are constantly reminded that such
is a two-way street. We do our best to earn your trust and make
you happy, and expect the same in return. Non-payment to us, in
any form, for goods received would first make us very sad and
then result in our having to retain a collection agency or take
whatever legal action necessary to restore us to happiness.
